In this list you can find the seat of the most important offices in the Detinus Republic (and some of the minor ones), and who is currently holding the associated position. This document also gives some insight into the government structure of the Detinus Republic.

DTR Administration
Crown Colony: New Tate on Cyprus in Venice. Named in memory of the people killed at the imperial colony Tate in the beginning days of the Rebellion, the new Crown Colony of the Detinus Republic in an elegant city with pleasant halls housing the government, the senate and the judicary as well as many associated institutions. The current Speaker of the House of Lords is Lord Michelle Diaz; the position of Magistrate, head of the judicary, is held by Ronald E. Silver.
Ministry of Internal Affairs: Tranquillity on Istria in Venice. The first planet of the Venice system is a warm, pleasant waterworld and has seen heavy colonisation from DTR settlers. It is here where Lord Alexander Plekhanov, the current Minister of Internal Affairs and vice-head of the government has taken up office separated from the core institutions on the neighbouring planet of Cyprus. Tranquillity is fully equipped to serve as an auxiliary civil administration center.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: New Tate on Cyprus in Venice. The Foreign Minister, Helene Guillaumie, works from New Tate under close supervision by the Speaker himself, who in fact does most of the diplomatic work personally and leaves little for his minister to do.
Ministry of Science, Exploration and Education: New Darien on Dalmatia in Venice. This important office is led by Professor Drew Fleming from the New Darien colony, one of the Republic's most spectacular high-gravity installations situated on Dalmatia in the Venice sytem. Actual field research, however, is spread over a number of other colonies throughout the Detinus Republic: The Stellar Science Research Group moved itself to Hesperus Landing, a hellish extreme-conditions installation on the planetoid Beta in the T.tauri system, to study the T.tauri protostar. The Thalassography Centre is based at Tranquillity on Istria, coordinating the research into the world's extensive oceans. The University of Startide, situated on Cyprus, occupies an important place in the affairs of the Ministry. Its research into the Xeno sciences is of considerable importance for training explorer crews and science officers. Of particular note are the exobiology laboratories and the xenolinguistics facilities located at the university.
Ministry of Military Affairs: Tharbad on Venice in Venice. While a small outlet of the Ministry of Military Affairs, namely the Detinus Guards Brigade HQ, is located at New Tate for predominantly representative and ceremonial purposes, the main military and naval headquarters of the Detinus Republic reside in command bunkers at Tharbad, a colony situated in one of the DTR Military Restricted Areas on the barren and icy rock deserts covering the planet Venice in Venice. The Defence Minister, Lord Angus Sivar, is the supreme commander of the DTR military and holds the military rank of Grand Admiral. As the highest ranking military officer in the Detinus Republic he answers only to the Speaker himself, and the Senate.
Minor Offices
DTR Stellar Armada: Even though DTR warships operate from a number of different bases, the nominal home port of each starship in the DTR Stellar Armada is with the Ministry of Military Affairs, at Tharbad. The planet Venice is the largest military base in the Detinus Republic. The whole space square has been declared a Restricted Area for all unauthorized shipping, and past incidents have shown the Stellar Armada to be serious about their threat of posting and destroying trespassers. Grand Admiral Sivar is the current supreme military commander of the DTR Stellar Armada.
DTR Merchant Navy: Because all starships that sail under orders and commission from the DTR Merchant Navy can be commandeered by the government in times of need, and also because they represent the bulk of the civilian DTR starships, New Tate, the Crown Colony, harbours the headquarters of the DTR Merchant Navy. A subsidiary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Merchant Navy also maintains a major administration center at Tranquillity and a number of smaller offices at all major DTR starports.
DTR Explorer Corps: It is the very nature of the DTR Explorer Corps to venture to the edges of known space, and far from the boundaries of the Detinus Republic. Their operations are usually decided by the starcaptains in the field, but what little central command is required, as well as the considerably bigger task of cataloguing the immense amounts of data gathered, is supervised from a cetnral office at New Darien. This office answers to the Exploration Minister, Professor Fleming, but is in fact supervised by the senior Admiralty serving in the Explorer Corps.
DTR Surgeon General : The Surgeon General of the Detinus Republic is responsible for questions regarding public welfare, especially quarantine measures for alien plague situations, drug evaluation and the day-to-day routine at hospitals throughout the Republic. The office is located at Avalon, on the mining asteroid Gamma in the T.tauri system, and is currently led by Dr. Jeremiah Nelson.
DTR Press Bureau: Also nicknamed the Ministry of Honesty and Truth, director Gabriel Fairbride has relocated his news agency a number of times so far, from the now abandoned trade center Babylon in Yank to Startide in Venice, and from there to Porta Capella, the new DTR trade center on the moon Lunk in Yank. This is the official press bureau of the Detinus Republic, but a number of private enterprises operate their own news agencies throughout the Republic.
DTR Immigration Bureau: This office is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is also located at New Tate. The current director is Julius D. Bernstein.
Capitals
Each star system under DTR administration has a System Capital, this being the colony to claim the system on behalf of the Detinus Republic. Furthermore, the Detinus Republic is divided into Prefectures. Adjacent systems are grouped into administrative Prefectures where appropriate. These include DTR systems as well as other systems holding a DTR colony, to simplify logistics and support throughout the Republic. Each Prefecture has its own Capital which serves as administrative center as well as staging and resupply point for friendly starships. The position of Prefect is held by the respective governors of the Prefecture Capital colonies.
Detinus Periphery Prefecture: In addition to serving as the Crown Colony of the DTR, New Tate also holds the position of Prefecture Capital for the Detinus Periphery, more precisely for the core systems of Venice and T.Tauri. Although spanning only two systems this prefecture forms the core of the Detinus Republic, and contains many of the biggest DTR colonies.
Badlands Prefecture: Widely seen as the backyard of the Detinus Republic, the Badlands Prefecture encompasses the Badlands, Abyss and Faery systems. The DTR base Zircon in Badlands serves as Capital. Discovered somewhat later than Venice and T.tauri the Badlands Prefecture is not yet colonized anywhere near as densely but continued efforts are certain to change that over time.
Solo Prefecture: Solo and the nearby Yank system are not claimed by the DTR but both systems do hold DTR colonies, and form a Prefecture of their own. The respective Prefecture is governed from the colony Opportunity on the moon Hammer in the Solo system.
Noctollis Prefecture: Initially located at Kekule's Retreat, a small supply station in the icy wastes of the planet Atriplex in the Noctollis system, the Prefecture Capital for the Noctollis Periphery was since moved to the colony Respite on the Axis Nadir fragment of the ancient ringworld system of Acrux.
