The permit system of Acropolis have changed a bit, so that you don't need permits for everything.

Exploration Permit
Exploration Items: No restrictions.
Naval Items: No more then 25% of Main Section.
Military Items: No more then 25% of Main Section.
E/S/D Lists: Can use Defend Lists.
Enforcer Permit
Exploration Items: Restricted.
Naval Items: No restrictions.
Military Items: No more then 50% of Main Section.
E/S/D Lists: Can use Defend Lists, must E/S/D FCN.
Colony Permit
Equipment: May not possess FCN Personnel and Alien Factories.
E/S/D Lists: Can use Defend Lists, must E/S/D FCN.
Transport Permit
Exploration Items: Restricted.
Naval Items: No more then 25% of Main Section.
Military Items: No more then 25% of Main Section.
E/S/D: Can use Defend Lists.

Special, if you wish to transport something illegal through our system, then contact us, we will need to know of the Cargo in question. This permit cost stellars too have, but how the cost will depend on your affiliations.
Mercenary Permit
Exploration Items: No restrictions.
Naval Items: No restrictions.

Special, your assignment is to help the Armed forces of the FCN and you will be considered FCN while in our service.

These are all of the permits, so you no longer need permission to enter Acropolis, you don't need permits to trade with us and its not illegal to orbit Falconia.

Subject: Colony for sale

Gentlebeings, the Detinus Republic is currently considering closing down our trade centre on Mobile Bay, DTR colony Babylon (2350), and relocate the facilities to another location in the not too distant future. Obviously, the greater part of the population and equipment will be shipped to the new colony site. However, since the complexes and PSUs cannot be fully salvaged, the current idea is to leave lifeforms and items for a skeleton class 5 colony at Babylon, plus the existing complexes (including the hiport). Please contact this bureau for details if you are interested in purchasing a class 5 colony on Mobile Bay/Yank. We feel that this offer might be especially interesting for small affiliations or trading enterprises not yet present with a colony on Mobile Bay, such as the DNA, FCN, SQM, KRL or an IND enterprise. Of course, this offer is open to other affiliations as well.
Please remember that this project is only in its early planning stages and that DTR Babylon and its market will remain there for you until further notice.
This bureau will also keep you posted on the progress of opening up the new DTR trade centre in the Yank system if the plans are to be carried out.

Clan Recruitment

A varied and diverse society, the Clans are looking for recruits.

Still recovering from a devastating civil war that left the vast Clan armadas and armies shattered almost beyond repair, the Clans nevertheless stunned everybody when they reclaimed their territory from the human invaders. Now we are in a period of rebuilding that which was lost and recovering that which was forgotten. But danger still lurks - our enemies exist - watching, waiting for their opportunity to drag down the Clan Alliance.

And so, because of this, the Alliance is looking for new recruits and experienced commanders to crew the war, trade and exploration vessels of the Bast fleets.

Thos who choose to join their fate with that of the Combined Clan Stellar Services can look forward to a challenging career, with plenty of opportunity for advancement in the ranks. These lucky few may also take advantage of the unique technical and racial advantages that we have over the other races, including:

Advanced weapons technology.
Combat capable crew
Large Ships - Mammoth (25-160-37) class Trader, Grizzly (35-100-35) class battleship and the Cheetah (8-20-12) class cruiser.
Immunity to drugs
The ability to build factories twice as quickly.

In response to the FET announcement in SSS/wk 9

Dear Sirs,
I find your flat ban on all independent ships even into the orbit of worlds with a FET colony unacceptable for several reasons:
1) I feel that I (and my whole enterprise, which includes a number of starships and ground parties) are being penalised for what I presume was FET inability to protect their assets against a criminal IND operation in which I had no part.
2) The FET have not even bothered to issue a list of their colonies. You have thus tried to ban my ships from certain areas without specifying those areas which, by all legal standards, leaves the ban null and void.
3) Most importantly, I do not recognise FET authority to ban any shipping in Kastorian, Imperial or other space. By all legal standards, only the respective government could issue such a ban; however the FET is an IMP chartered affiliation. Therefore, unless the ban is confirmed by the IMP and KAS for their respective space, I do not consider it binding beyond the FET colonies themselves, especially not where access to planetary orbits is concerned.
I do, however, respect your wish to avoid contact with IND positions. From week 10 on, I will not have my ships land at your colonies and interact with your starport complexes. There are other starports who will gladly accept my payment in return for employing the services of their starport complexes.
You have no right to deny my ships access to other colonies on the same planet or even the planetary surface as long as access is permitted by the IMP and KAS.
Should the FET post or even attack a position from my enterprise I will demand a full compensation for unjustified attack from the FET under IMP law.

New Clan Ship

After months of secret preparations, the Clans have announced that the first spaceship of a new design is to be launched tonight. The configuration is a well-kept secret, though it has been rumoured that this ship is bigger than the Grizzly battleships. Our reporter Liggo Budew Vo is live now at the shipyards at Antioch.

<the crowd becomes silent as the dome starts to glow in a faint blue tone. A single Bast is seen approaching the dome through the crowd which parts while bowing>

Well, it is an upgrade of our old Mammoth trader. The new configuration is 25-160-37 giving it a basespeed of 2.1 and a cargo capacity of 3200mu. Sadly, <the Warleader wipes away a small tear>, sniff, it can not be equipped with space weaponry.
...no weaponry? According to my sources you have been in favour of a battleship design, isn't this correct?...
<the Warleader seems about to explode>
Bohoooooo! I wanted a Titan or a Leviathan with everything built in and some nice Warp Generators complete with enhancers for double damage! Is this asking too much? "100 years" they said! "100 years just for the orbital shipyards"! Engineers, what do they know? They should listen more to the Seekers, they told me it might be possible to reactivate a Wraith or a Cougar in a year or two. But that would be but a speck of dust compared to the immense Leviathans. Still, even a Cougar would be a formidable ship compared to the Grizzly, not to mention the Mammoth...
<the Warleader regains his composure and turns to his wristcom unit>
Imperator, pick me up. Let's give Death Touch an honorary escort.
<the Warlord steps into a shuttle with a group of beefy Clans warriors. The shuttle takes off and docks with a huge green ship which descends from orbit>

<the ground starts to rumble as Death Touch fires its thrust engines for the first time. The amoeba-reporter covers its hearing organs with a horde of new limbs, while the Bast warily withdraw from the immediate vicinity of the ship>
...it's taking off!...
<slowly and majestically the Mammoth begins to rise up towards the sky. It is joined by the green Grizzly commanded by the Warleader, as both ships accelerate away into the night sky above Antioch. Soon the noise dies away and the ships are visible against the backdrop of the galaxy only as a pair of stars, one green and the other, brighter, blue...>

**********Special Report From Twilight***********

This report just in from our Agricultural Correspondent in the twilight system, where he was preparing an article on WMB Farming Techniques.
A series of usual events and rumours are abound in the Twilight System. The first of which is a definite Confirmation that the FGZ have formally taken over the Administration of the Wimble Nation, While here at one of the former Wimble Colonies of Hong Kong I witnessed for myself the Arrival of a FGZ Vessel, After which came the unexpected news that the Governor of the Colony had been Replaced by a new FGZ Governor, Dormant Lot, the market had been eliminated and the name of the colony changed to Xenos Wimble. No troops were seen entering the Colony so one can only assume that those in charge of the colony must have been forewarned of the change and had either agreed or decided that resistance was futile and declared the Colony open.
As yet unconfirmed rumours are coming in that the wimble colony on celeste had undergone the same fate. The fate of the tiny class 1 colony in yank is also unknown at this time.
Other rumours buzzing around the starport are that in excess of 30 + FGZ ships of all classes have passed through the twilight stargate in the last week alone. To this Reporter that alone seems strange as the Stargate only links to the Inferno stargate and as of the time that I passed through this was blockaded by a Imperial or one of there allies Vessels. No rumours of battles from either the FGZ or the IMP sides leaves one to wonder at the ship movements Further reports Involve the fate of the original FGZ Home System, it seems, if one can believe the tales overheard in Bars, that the FGZ have somehow managed to discover the events that took place in their Home System after the Expeditionary force that came through the Inferno Stargate into the Capellan Periphery where trapped when the Stargate at the other end suddenly Collapsed, trapping them forever in our part of the Galaxy. The storey runs along the lines that whilst they were in the final throws of a titanic war with a race known as the felinni, the FGZ having virtually succeeding in eliminating the entire felinni race. The FGZ had sent their entire remaining fleet of Baseships to destroy the Capital of the Felinni (their last remaining Colony), The Felinni having sensed their impending doom mustered every available Warship and Troop carrier and waited in the far reaches of the FGZ system for the move they knew the FGZ where about to make. The FGZ Baseship Fleet Arrived at the now defenceless Felinni capital and reduced it to a Pile of Ashes. Meanwhile the Felinni fleet assaulted the FGZ Homeworld with everything that they had, this included ancient nuclear weapons long thought destroyed, the devastation rendered the whole planet uninhabitable, the FGZ Baseships Fleet receiving the Cries of the homeworld returned and destroyed the last remaining felinni forces. The victory was a hollow one with the Stargate no longer functioning and the only other system known being the felinni one the remaining Baseships attempted to find unspoilt planets and moons in the 2 systems to settle and rebuild, a few survived for several generations but the technology and equipment from both races was beyond their means to recreate and being warriors they eventually where reduced to fighting amongst themselves for what little resources where left.
The ultimate outcome being the demise FGZ in that part of the Galaxy. This would suggest that unless other expeditionary forces where also trapped around the galaxy and managed to survive the same as they have in the capellan periphery. Ours are the only Surviving FGZ left anywhere.
