Official Press Statement Courtesy of the Office of the Sect Leader,
Cathedral Central, Week 49.197

The Brotherhood wishes to share the news of a historic achievement with the international community. It has no doubt caught your attention that hostilities between the Kastorian Military Junta and the Brotherhood have been underway for a number of months. For those that might require a refresher, I digress...
In 19.197 the Junta opened fire upon and destroyed the BHD Surveyor Taliesin in orbit of Kingdom. No warning was given. No restrictions on movement at Kingdom had been communicated. The Taliesin made no attempt to return fire.
In 20.197 opened fire upon and seriously damaged the BHD Frigate Proclamation in orbit of Kingdom. No warning was given. No restrictions on movement at Kingdom had been communicated. The Proclamation made no attempt to return fire.
In the wake of these atrocities the Brotherhood petitioned the Junta to explain their actions. The Junta approached the atrocities in an offhand manner and, though the evidence was clear, implied that the Brotherhood was at fault for navigating a restricted area. This, despite the fact that any sanctions at Kingdom had not been publicly or officially communicated to the BHD.
Later, in discussions, the Junta agreed they were to blame and offered some monetary sum in compensation for the deaths. This was one insult too much. The offending colony (Jadis) was posted and an oath sworn by all members of House Fortis. That...
"The restless spirits of a hundred murdered Brotherhood agents shall rest once your palace, your clothes, your bloody crimson hands, bear witness to the thousands of Kastorians we shall cut down like the ripened corn."

The Junta laughed the incident off and returned to their affairs.
In 40.97 a 22 ship Brotherhood Armada entered orbit of Kingdom and engaged Jadis. The resulting battle was fierce and hard. Four Brotherhood warships were destroyed. However, the work was done. Jadis was demolished and thousands upon thousands of Kastorian Aggressors were cut to ribbons. The following week three BHD starships were destroyed while withdrawing from the area.
The Kastorian Military Junta is an odious regime. For too long the Junta has pursued its policies of arrogance and outrage. It is a known and readily admitted fact that the Junta hires RIP terrorists to destroy certain ships, the resulting blood money swelling pirate coffers and funding their campaigns of murder and destruction. The wealth and power of the RIP is therefore inextricably tied to that of the Junta. They are partners in crime.
The Empire and their cronies recognise this fact. They recognise that the Junta are hand in fist with their enemies, but do they act? No. The Empire is evidently afraid of the Junta and afraid to do what is right. This failure perpetuates the Junta and perpetuates a rich source of funding for the RIP. In supporting the Junta at Kingdom the IMP, FET and FGZ show they care more for their Kastorian bedfellows than for the lives of their own citizens and allies that are routinely lost to the RIP. These affiliations hide behind what they dare to call principle, when it is nothing short of terminal corruption.
Fortunately the Brotherhood are prepared to do what is right. The Brotherhood is prepared to adhere to principles, to grit its collective teeth and fight the good fight. While the Empire languishes in Kastorian Stellars, the Brotherhood takes the hard choices. While the Viceroy enjoys his Kastorian pedicure, the Sect Leader combats what is wrong and unjust. While the IMP, FET and FGZ lend the KAS their undivided support the Brotherhood alone possesses the courage and determination to do what is right, to go for the heart.
The purpose of this announcement is to confirm what you will shortly be hearing in all public places and by all public media, which is that a Cessation of Hostilities is in effect between the Kastorian Military Junta and the Brotherhood, on Brotherhood terms. I see realisation is dawning. Let me make it crystal clear. On behalf of all sentient races, the Brotherhood has taken on the Junta and the Brotherhood has won. Despite the cloying, combined support of the IMP, FET and FGZ, we have knocked the KAS down and extracted from their bloodied face a treaty which will delight all who see the KAS for what they really are.

Of the treaties 18 Clauses, 7 cover the cessation of hostilities and relevant punishment clauses. The remaining 11 are, without exception, Kastorian tribute. 8 of these tribute terms affect the international community and are therefore reproduced below. The remaining terms are our business...
We have decided to make clauses 6-12 public knowledge because the privileges they impart are exclusive. Observers will note this definition in each of the relevant clauses. That they are exclusive means that the Brotherhood alone are so privileged and that by privileging others in the same way they cease to be exclusive, thereby violating the obligations of the Junta in the treaty. The clauses also serve as a refresher in Kastorian Law. Anything the BHD can do under these clauses is illegal for anybody else.
Clause 13 has been made public because it affects all sentient beings. Under this treaty the KAS cannot hire the RIP to do their dirty work. No schemes which provide the RIP with incentives to conduct piracy are permitted. I invite the Empire to attempt to correct me if I am wrong but insofar as the RIP threat is concerned, this is more than the Empire has achieved over the last two years - likely longer.
Suffice to say that the treaty is signed and lodged. Furthermore the Junta have assured us that a new era of Kastorian goodwill is underway, and that they will not go so far as to even consider breaking the treaty. This remains to be seen. As if the events of the last week were not enough, we trust one thing is becoming clear. The Brotherhood cannot be stopped, will roll heedless over attempts to interfere in our plans. The end is coming. You will be converted. Resistance is futile.

All praise to the True One, for He has shown his Glory to the faithful. General Announcement: 197.48.
In the hope of bringing non-believers to a True faith, the Brotherhood of the True One is able to share with others news of the generosity of the True One. A new system, the province of the True One in this universe, has been revealed to us. This system is known as Eden.
Access to Eden is difficult and, at present, restricted. As befits a Holy place, we will not stand by and see the system despoiled and desecrated by unbelievers. The Brotherhood therefore intends to limit access as far as possible and to maintain the system in a state of purity.
The Brotherhood will not, at this time, authorise entry of any kind to the Eden system. We ask that other species and powers respect the fact that Eden is holy land and that, even with the best of intentions, the impure will contaminate Eden with their presence.
The Brotherhood requests that curious parties contact Cathedral Central for any information. At a later stage, carefully supervised pilgrimages may become admissible for those of any race who wish to carry out their obligations to the True One.
Unauthorised entrance will be resisted with force. Bloodshed will cleanse any stain from the holy places as the True One smiles on the actions of the faithful. Unauthorised parties attempting to gain access to Eden will be neutralised before they are able to gain any information on the system. Cloaking or otherwise sneaking into Eden is futile.
Any power that attempts to despoil Eden in any way will be treated as a hostile enemy by the Brotherhood. Praise the True One. All power to His name, for He has shown His faithful Paradise.

Reports have reached BHD Command describing a fierce battle that has taken place in the Ruin system. The battle is the result of sustained and determined activity by Brotherhood warships as part of a campaign to crush and humble the pirate threat.
Four RIP combat vessels were intercepted by a Brotherhood task force as they lay in wait to ambush passing cargo vessels. The RIP ships constituted the RIP Attack Group that recently destroyed a BHD Battle Cruiser in the Francoise system and that are responsible for jeopardising Darkfold shipping lanes over recent months.
The battle was intense and resulted in light damage to several Brotherhood warships. However the result was barely in question. Outnumbering the RIP nearly two to one and harbouring molten vengeance in their hearts, the Brotherhood task force did not let up for a second. Three RIP warships were blown to smouldering smithereens and a fourth severely damaged in a magnificent display of ruthless justice. The pirate vessels destroyed were as follows...
RIP Frigate Whit, RIP Frigate Feersum Endjinn, RIP Predator The Wasp Factory. The RIP Predator The Crow Road fled with significant damage to the command and main section.
So ends another chapter in the glorious history of the Brotherhood, with the RIP rendered Whit-less and their engines no longer Feersum. As each day continues to prove, the Brotherhood cannot be stopped, cannot be defeated, are comprehensively the most dynamic, relentless organisation in the Peripheries. You will be converted. Resistance is futile.

From: The Offices of Kastorian External Affairs

The Kastorians have recently got to newly formed colonies, one in Void, the other is in Titan. If any position is willing to deliver items to either of these colonies contact the above offices with details of shipments, and prices in goods or Stellars for such services.
Also, any information which we do not have on the said systems will also be paid for. Again, send details including mineral sites, outposts or not.
We also plan to alter KAS Rubis' market, get rid of things that are not selling and introduce new products. What we would like from you is for things you would like on the market to sell and things you want us to buy with prices introduced, also stating the amounts of each. For example, Photon Guns, Pulsar Tanks, Power Armour, Blaster Rifles and LBCMs are all items that could go on. Also Field Labs can be made but Bio-Chemists will have to be provided due to research labs tight schedule.
Kastorian shipyards can produce Supra Freighters, Battle Cruisers and the Cog, a 8/60/15 cargo ship. The Cog can be flown by all races but a directive from the Junta as stated that the Cog is not for sale to the FCN as they are a new race and as such untried. Any affiliation passing on the Cogs will suffer the Junta's disapproval. The price for the ship will be the standard Hypso prices of 4000 for Command, 3000 for Engine and 2000 for Main hulls, and a 50,000 Stellar upgrade fee. All information received will be acted on and replies sent if needed. Thank you for your time and answers. Help us to help you.

Press Statement by the Office of the Imperial Viceroy

After careful consideration of the CNF's selective interpretation of the General Agreement on Access to the Wormhole the Imperial Viceroy has decided that it gives him the latitude to be selective as well.
Accordingly, until further notice, all affiliations are allowed unrestricted access to the Wormhole when it is located at Space Square 1852 in the Teller (147) System, excepting the CIA, for reasons explained below.
Those affiliation normally banned from free passage inside the borders of the Stellar Empire are to leave the Stellar Empire or approach the Wormhole via Space Square 1852 in the Storm (145) System only. Previous permissions giving immunity to wider areas are hereby withdrawn.
The CIA are excluded from this agreement on the grounds of their Agents activities at IMP colonies Leeward and Ultima Thule during the last several weeks. All of the numerous agents captured that have decided to save their lives by naming their employers have identified them as CIA. This exclusion of the CIA from access to the Wormhole will continue until there has been a continuous ten week period of no agent activity by the CIA in any Imperial Colony. If further agent activity takes place after that the ban will be re-imposed.
Any CIA ships sighted within the borders of the Stellar Empire will be posted in accordance with current practice regardless of their location. The ships of other banned affiliations will not be posted if sighted in Storm (145) space square 1852, or Teller (147) space square 1852. Elsewhere normal restrictions and prohibitions apply.
